Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using DineDecide ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our App.

Description of Service

DineDecide is a dietary decision-support app that uses AI to analyze restaurant menus against your dietary profile. The App provides per-dish safety ratings (Safe, Caution, Avoid) with explanations, trigger words, and suggested questions to ask restaurant staff.

Important Disclaimer

DineDecide is a decision-support tool, not a medical device. The App provides recommendations, not guarantees. Always confirm with restaurant staff about ingredients, preparation methods, and cross-contamination risks. DineDecide should not be used as the sole basis for dietary decisions, especially for severe allergies.

User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use DineDecide. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. Users under 18 should have parental consent before using the App.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Rely solely on DineDecide for life-threatening allergy decisions without staff confirmation
• Attempt to reverse engineer or manipulate the AI analysis
• Use the App in violation of any applicable laws
• Submit content that is not a restaurant menu for analysis
• Create multiple accounts to abuse features or promotions

User Content

You retain ownership of photos you submit to DineDecide. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to process your photos solely for providing the menu analysis service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Intellectual Property

The DineDecide app, including its design, features, AI algorithms, and content (excluding user-submitted photos), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our app or its content without permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

DineDecide is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of the AI analysis or that the App will be error-free. Menu analysis results are recommendations and should always be verified with restaurant staff.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of DineDecide, including but not limited to allergic reactions resulting from reliance on the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).

In-App Purchases

DineDecide may offer premium features through in-app purchases. All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or app store policies. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to DineDecide if you violate these terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to other users or our service. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the App.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles.
